Flowdiary: A Mega Project to Reduce Joblessness in Nigeria

Image
We are working on a mega project to reduce joblessness in Nigeria, primarily the northern region, by teaching the core knowledge, adoption and implementation of digital skills among youths for self-reliance at our digital learning platform, Flowdiary . This eLearning platform is an EdTech startup that teaches digital skills in Hausa language for reliance. It's a huge task hardly to be accomplished by a small group of people, it needs cooperation from different aspects to achieve the goal of empowering youths through digital skills. Being in the world of tech for almost a decade, and because I have a passion and zeal for helping my fellow youngsters with the little I have through training, mentorship, and support, I have tried to cover these in less than 3 years:   In September 2019, I authored a 110-page eBook called eBillions Mastery which talks about the legitimate ways to earn money on the internet by adopting some lucrative digital skills and gave it for free to my fello...

Failure is Part of Taking Trials: Don't Be Afraid of It

Image
I want to comment on the most terrible thing people, especially business owners and politicians are afraid of, it is a failure. So, after nearly 30 years, Microsoft's Internet Explorer is shutting down. Remember the influence of Microsoft and the role it plays in the world of technology, and how it beat Netscape and other competitors, but today its product is also going down. In 2019, despite the power of Google in the present world, it failed to compete and had no option other than shutting down its 7-year-old social networking service, Google+ I applaud Jeff Bezos when asked about Amazon, he said he admits that one day his company will be no more, so he thought of making the best before its collapse sooner or later. One expert also said you have to admit that you would fail; so if it happens, you won't have problems of heartbreak or similar stress. You see, nobody is talking about Nokia, 2go, Yahoo or Motorola today. It doesn't matter how much time you spend in existence,...

Watch, Read and Learn: The Untold Story of Steve Jobs

Image
From the first day I set my eyes on the #LabarinaSeries, I thought it would be an amazing film that would deliver some special lessons. Recently, I have come to understand the similarities between the stories of Sumayya (the fictional character of the series) and Steve Jobs, the co-founder of Apple, Inc. In the film, Sumayya’s attempts of meeting her biological father are always thwarted by her mother, because they do not know his whereabouts for several years. So, those scenes quickly remind me of the story of Steve Jobs and his biological father, Abdulfatah Jandali. Despite being a follower of his trends, I’ve never watched a single clip of him mentioning his real father, even though I knew that he’s a Syrian professor of Economics and Political Science. But frankly speaking, Steve never wanted to meet his biological father or reveal their relationship publicly, not because his maternal grandpa never liked his daughter’s relationship with Jandali, but because he had never contr...

Mohiddeen Set to Launch His Entrepreneurial Book in Kano

Image
Zo Mu Gina Kamfani, an entrepreneurial book 21st February 2021, has been scheduled as the day to launch Zo Mu Gina Kamfani , an entrepreneurial book written by Muhammad Auwal Ahmad, popularly known as Mohiddeen, in Kano State. I have gained the opportunity from the CEO and Co-founder of Arewa Computer Library , Salees Abdulrazak Sahel, to introduce my book at an event he and colleagues have organized, Arewa Computer Library 2021 Summit. The attention of many people has been dragged to an attractive topic, #ZoMuGinaKamfani , which has been trending on social media since September 2020. I have explained in detail during my interview with DailyStar NG , about the hashtag and why we create the motive movement. Well, the trend has to do with my aforementioned unpublished book, as it partakes in motivating youths to be competent enough to create multiple opportunities to be self-reliant by building a company.  To make the trend more understandable, a friend and one of its co-found...

New Year 2020: A Piece of Advice for My Fellow Youngsters

Image
Whether or not you’re celebrating the New Year, a piece of advice should be given to us for our bright future. A year is equivalent to 12 months/365 days or 52 weeks. There’s a lot you can do if you budget it out and plan what you want to achieve in these 12 months. So, what do you really want? Admission, money, job, skills, knowledge, business, marriage, or something else? It doesn’t matter whatever you want to achieve as long as you can persist. As youngsters, we shall not be wasting our time and all the resources we have on nothing. We must find something that will benefit us whatever, or however, it is. Catherine Cook of MyYearBook said “To any entrepreneur: if you want to do it, do it now. If you don’t, you’re going to regret it.” Don't say next year, next month, or even tomorrow; start it now. So let’s see what to do: 1. Find a pen and a book and write all your plans down 2. Create a lucrative idea - imagine anything (thinking about solving peoples' problems) 3. Make a ...

What’s Your Biggest Struggle Ever?

Image
Life is full of challenges. You never stop having one until you leave this world. Every day, hundreds of thousands of people are struggling in many terms. If I ask, what’s your biggest struggle ever? What would be your reply? It might be something like “I have been struggling…” or “I can’t mention one” or any other just depends on what you’re thinking, or what you have been doing for a long time. Yeah it sounds strange when someone ask your biggest struggle. To me, it’s already known that failure is my biggest struggle. I fail many times, but do I deserved to be called “the man of failure”? No, no… It’s because being persistent is better than to be called the man of failure. I often say the bad close friend I ever had was failure. I had failed hundreds times and yet I have not given up because I thought I was the unluckiest person on earth. I learned a lot about the lessons of life. We were born in this amazing world and there’s a time that we will all be buried under the ground....
