Flowdiary in 2025: A Reflection of Major Successes
Before the invention of Flowdiary, my pen “wrote” to inspire people on this podium. But today, it turns to “code” to change thousands of lives in Africa, a dream of “making it big” becoming a reality before the eyes of the world.
Understandably, when experts say “investment in knowledge” is the biggest investment of all time, they mean deepening our activities to make lives better through all possible means, and this is how Flowdiary began.
Kindly, pardon me to take a moment in my space of “changing the world” to take you back a little bit to explore some of the biggest achievements of this startup in the year 2025.
First of all, early this year, Flowdiary made its first international debut by representing Nigeria in Morocco at #GITEXAfrica2025, a remarkable moment we named #FlowdiaryInMorocco and celebrated as if there were no tomorrow.
After a month, Flowdiary presented in #FlowdiaryInMaiduguri and was honoured at the University of Maiduguri for winning the Northeast Creativity and Innovation Summit organized by CoDevHub Maiduguri and partners.
Let me step into the first week of September, where Flowdiary presented its groundbreaking AI inventions during #FlowdiaryInLagos at #GITEXNigeria2025. Another remarkable experience we decided not to forget forever!
Twice, we celebrated #FlowdiaryInAbuja during the NextGen Challenge and Digital Nigeria International Conference, where we launched our flowdiary.ai top-level domain, a step forward to achieve our #FlowdiaryToTheWorld mission.
Let me not forget to mention #FlowdiaryInGombe during the month of July, another move to explore the nation and showcase Flowdiary's major impacts in changing the lives of over 40,000 young people in Africa.
With the help of the #FlowdiaryFamily, such as its closest ally, Malam Bashir Dandago, we organized #FlowdiarySallahPicnic in Kano in April, barely a week before Engr. Ibrahim's trip to Morocco.
Among the free programmes we organized at Flowdiary that I always feel joy about was the #EthicalHackingBootcamp, a short physical training held at the Flowdiary Office and trained by Engr. Ibrahim.
Again, considering our huge impacts, Zeta partnered with us and organized a ₦100k bug bounty contest called #FlowdiaryZetaHackingContest. Thanks to Malam Misbahu, our Marketing Associate, for considering Flowdiary with high esteem.
Just like last year, we proceeded to organize #FlowdiaryHackathon2025 to challenge our students to create real-world projects.
Moreover, in our effort to continue making a difference, we got an office space in Kano, a move to have a flexible working space and make our dream of launching Research and Development a reality.
Let me not forget to mention that we also started the #FlowdiaryPodcast, which aims to create educational content in tech, business, and personal development. Our Marketing and Design Department members such as Dr. Salisu Abdurrazak Saheel, Oga Abubakar Ibrahim, Malam Nuru Abdulmumin Abdullahi, Malam Haruna Abdussalam Muhammad, and Oga Yasin Abdulwahab Musa play a crucial role in our product design, marketing, and communication.
When people demanded a physical space of learning, we moved forward to launch Flowdiary Physical Class and taught four professional courses. Amazingly, within a span of only three months, our students were able to build and deploy machine learning models from scratch, develop full-stack web apps, and analyze data, among others, with the help of our talented tutors, Malam Yasin Abdulwahab Musa, and Malam Zubairu Saidu.
Our long-term vision of establishing a Research and Development Unit became reality in early June and was successfully launched to the public in December. Happily, one of our projects, Flowcode IDE — co-invented by Engr. Misbahu Abubakar and Engr. Ibrahim Auwal, was unveiled during the First Physical Class Graduation Ceremony on 27th December 2025.
We also secured seven partnerships with different national and international companies, seeking to expand our services and continue to create opportunities for our students.
This year, we have reached 40,000+ users! A huge move to continue making impacts around the globe. Our rebranding played a major role in taking a new shape; special credit goes to our genius Backend Engineer, Malam Zubairu Saidu; our all-in-one Chief Technology Officer, Engr. Ibrahim Auwal; our creative Visual Designer, Malam Yasin Abdulwahab Musa; our visionary Director of Design, Oga Abubakar Ibrahim; and our talented Senior Software Developer, Malam Abdulrahman Muhd.
We approved 200+ internships for our students, some of which were paid and some international. More so, we were able to secure permanent jobs for 30+ students, most of them in Nigeria and some with the companies we partner with.
To expand our reach, we launched two new courses: 3D Animation and Machine Learning Mastery, which got hundreds of enrolments from different regions in Africa. We also updated five existing courses. Our genius Senior AI Engineer at the R&D Unit, Malam Ahmad Abdullahi's Machine Learning Mastery course is paving the way for young Africans to lead the continent in AI research.
Now, when we closely look at the huge impacts Flowdiary is making in Africa, working relentlessly to change the lives of young people, we can all envision the big potential it has for the next decade.
Flowdiary exists to make things better, to change lives, and to make huge impacts. When I presented it on stage in Lagos, I clarified that we are driven by unapologetic passion, excellence, and resilience when asked why we are the right team to take on this big task.
Wherever I go and present Flowdiary, people come wanting to know more about us; some say they want to join our team or become students. Throughout my stay at Flowdiary as the CEO and co-founder, I would say one of the deepest secrets of our huge successes is that we are deeply focused on solving people's problems.
Hold on, I can't put my pen down in this piece without acknowledging our frontline supporters and well-wishers. Definitely, these huge successes wouldn't have been achieved without the unwavering efforts, support, hard work, persistence and resilience of Flowdiary Team members, #FlowdiaryFamily, mentors, friends, colleagues, and parents whose prayers, guidance, and kind wishes play a pivotal role in our lives. I want to publicly say "Thank You" for everything. May God Almighty reward and bless you, amen.
Dear reader, let me put my pen down and let you relax!
And, thank you for reading my piece.
Have peace always!
